Il a bouleversé le quotidien de milliers d'enfants, contraints de partir de chez eux, privés de scolarité, à tel point que des ONG s'inquiètent des conséquences pour leur avenir. C'est le cas d’Éducation sans délai. Un Fonds mondial des Nations unies pour l'éducation qui vient de débloquer une aide de 3 millions de dollars pour accompagner les enfants déplacés au Tchad. Pays qui accueille plus de 60 000 réfugiés soudanais, dont 70% des enfants. Yasmine Sherif, directrice exécutive de l'organisation, vient de rentrer d'une visite de cinq jours à Ndjamena. Entretien.

Tras la misión sobre el terreno de alto nivel de Education Cannot Wait (ECW) con ACNUR a las regiones fronterizas de Chad con Sudán, donde han llegado recientemente 60.000 refugiados, la directora ejecutiva de ECW, Yasmine Sherif, anunció una subvención de 3 millones de dólares para la Primera Respuesta de Emergencia.

La financiación proporcionará acceso a entornos de aprendizaje seguros y protectores a las niñas y niños refugiados que llegan al país y apoyará a las comunidades de acogida. Con esta nueva subvención, las inversiones totales de ECW en Chad superan los 41 millones de dólares.
